Victor Chau

Starting yoga out of curiosity, Victor Chau was introduced to this ancient art of body and mind by accident. For the next nine years, he went on a journey through different schools of yoga – Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Power and Yin yoga, to name a few. In 2010, his dedication of yoga finally took him to Sivananda Kutir, spending four weeks in an ashram in the remote Himalayan region of Northern India, learning under the tutelage of Swami Vishnudevananda’s disciples. There, he devoted his full attention to the sacred practice of yoga, chanting, meditation and the appreciation of nature. Now a Yoga Alliance 200-hour certified Sivananda yoga instructor, Chau also completed a Yin Yoga Teacher Training workshop with Sarah Powers in 2010. In 2011, he attended China Yoga Summit , which was conducted by Sri B.K.S Iyengar himself and a yoga workshop with Donna Farhi, and most recently in 2012 completed a Pilates Fundamental Teacher Training with Claire Norgate. Chau teaches in a number of premier yoga studios and hotels in Beijing, giving group or private classes in English, Putonghua and Cantonese.
