BEARAPY SUPPORT GROUP

Feeling melancholy, stressed, isolated, depressed, or confused?

Join the Bearapy Support Group to find encouragement & inspiration, De-stress and experience self-awareness through creative means.

Life is not all rainbows. The world expects us to smile and be brave. Yet there are times when we need a boost of inspiration and comfort, a safe environment to unleash our concerns with no fear of judgment and biases from society.

The Bearapy Support Group provides a platform for sharing doubts and worries, and to encourage each other to release stress, explore creativity, and continue to improve self-awareness.

This Group will be:

-Open to men and women, aged 21 and above

-Open to any nationality, ethnicity, and religious background.

-Conducted in English -The Group will belongs to all participants and will be a closed group, (i.e. no walk-ins, to protect the confidentiality of the Group)

-The Group will be facilitated by Noch Noch Li and guest speakers may join from time to time.

-Please note that this Group is not medical therapy.

Date: Tuesdays, 25 Feb 2014 to 29 Apr 2014 ( Tuesdays x 10 sessions).
Time: 7pm – 8:30pm
Cost: 3,500RMB (option to with­draw at Ses­sion 2 with 50% refund). All course material and refreshments included.

GROUP MODERATOR INTRODUCTION 

Noch Noch was an overachieving banker and created Bearapy through an unexpected collection of Snuffles toy bears during her challenge with clinical depression, leading her to self-reflection and creative expression as she recovered. She also writes during her free time and her writing has been published in Forbes Women, South China Morning Post, Women of China and other websites.

Sharing with Nochnoch: How to Get Out from Pit Bottom?

When life throws unexpected challenges at you, how do you channel the fear and pain towards something constructive? Noch Noch will share her journey from depression, burnt out and stress, to newfound creativity and outlook on life. Come find some inspiration to face the challenges in life. This is also an information session for those interested to join the Bearapy Support Group, facilitated by Noch Noch, and she will answer any questions you will have.

About Noch Noch Li Brought up in Hong Kong and Australia, Noch Noch was a young, overachieving executive for an international corporation. After seven years of living the life she dreamt of, or so she thought, she suffered a serious stress-related depression that turned her life upside down. As she battles with depression, Noch Noch is on a quest to be the wake-up call for others in similar plights through her blog, NochNoch.com, where she jots down her reflections on living with depression and self-awareness. Her writing has also been published in South China Morning Post, Forbes Women, Women of China, The Charitarian, Black Dog Tribe, Life Hack, and other websites. She is also the creator of Bearapy, a form of play therapy aimed at adults, developed through an unexpected collection of Gund Snuffles bears during her years in clinical depression.
